Name From Me To You
Location New York City
First Post May 4, 2009Jamie Beck knew she was a photographer ever since she picked up her mom’s Pentax camera at age 13. Since then, she’s strived every day to improve her craft. Her Tumblr blog overflows with her work, her travels, and her adventures in food. A contributor to dozens of editorial, food, art, and fashion magazines, Jamie created the ongoing Polaroid Project earlier this year. “What I love about Polaroid film is the notion that you only get one shot. Location Los Angeles
First post August 2009Freelance illustrator Mike Mitchell is perhaps best known for his “I’m with Coco” poster, but it’s his take on the universal “Viking riding a unicorn in space with lightning-emitting AK-47” concept that truly resonates with us. With a focus on pop culture and the utterly ridiculous, Mike posts his original works, the works of his friends and influences, and the things that make him laugh. He blew up the internet last week after receiving a thank-you note from comedian Zach Galifianakis for creating a splendid portrait. Mike lives in LA with his wife, Lauren, and various pets named Auggie, Belly, Emo, and Peeka.
